Founder & Executive Director

Pastor Karen Izekor is a resilient woman of God who has always loved God’s Kingdom and His people. She was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and relocated to Dallas, Texas, as an adolescent, where she has resided most of her life.

Pastor Karen has faithfully submitted to The Will of God for the last 29 years of being called into ministry. “A virtuous woman seeks His Will for her life and follows His Ways.” (Proverbs 31:26). In 1995, Pastor Karen Izekor’s calling began with ministering to the elderly and disabled community who were left in nursing homes with no families. After five years of ministering at Heritage Place in Addison, TX, a fire was ignited within her to continue her ministry, assisting those in need. Stepping into more profound ministry with selflessness and patience, she worked well with those dealing with hardships. She was eager to share The Heart of Christ and His Word. Pastor Karen went into ministering to the Battered and Abused Women in the DFW Metroplex for the next 9 years. As a single parent with two children of her own, she was very aware of how domestic violence can affect children. After being set free from the cycle of abuse from her past, Pastor Karen was trained and equipped in healing and deliverance, now using her freedom to help set others free. This expanded her outreach to covering abused children who were being affected by dysfunctional homes. Pastor Karen went on missionary trips to Brazil, working with different orphanages, women's rehab facilities, and the homeless community, pouring everything God had given her into them. This confirmed the hidden desire she had always had to minister to the nations. Which Led her to become a state-certified Chaplain in 2017; she received a minister's license at Trinity Church through Assemblies of God and became a certified deliverance minister/prophetic intercessor. I worked as a children's pastor at Fairmeadows and volunteered as one of the lead ministers to a community of refugees and single parents for five years.

In 2018, Pastor Karen met her life partner, Pastor James Izekor, and was married within 30 days of their first date. In 2018, Pastor Karen started a non-profit called ‘Bridging Community,’ collecting resources for the unhoused community and assisting with their transition. Pastor Karen and her husband have been the outreach pastors, including the event planners for Winner’s Assembly Christian Church in south Dallas. Feeding and Mentoring with discipleship classes with over 350 unhoused men and women weekly in south Dallas and downtown Dallas. A virtuous woman serves her husband, family, friends, and neighbors with a gentle and loving spirit. She is charitable. (Proverbs 31:12). Pastor Karen Izekor, in 2022, has since become a published author; ‘He Kept Me’ is being sold worldwide through Barnes & Noble and Amazon. She received her associate degree in June 2024 and is working on her bachelor's, majoring in psychology and minoring in drug and alcohol abuse as another avenue to connect resources for those unhoused.
